This fantastic 2017 W 1 oz American Liberty Enhanced Uncirculated Silver Medal NGC SP 70 ER is originally part of Silver 4-Medal Set, released by the US Mint as a celebration of its 225th anniversary.
To commemorate this special event, the US Mint released an exclusive silver medal struck at the West Point. The design showcases the stunning new Lady Liberty image depicted as an African-American woman wearing a crown. This exceptional design belongs to the talented artist Justin Kunz and is an homage to the ethnic diversity of the United States, representing the country’s hopeful vision of liberty and freedom. The reverse design shows an eagle in flight, created by Chris Costello.
This medal was certified by NGC as SP 70 within the first 30 days after the official release. This distinction means this medal was struck with no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification.
