To commemorate this special event, the US Mint released an exclusive silver medal struck at the Philadelphia facility which showcases the stunning new Lady Liberty design - Depicted as an African-American woman wearing a crown. This exceptional design belongs to the talented artist Justin Kunz and is an homage to the ethnic diversity of the United States, representing the country’s hopeful vision of liberty and freedom. The reverse design shows an eagle in flight, created by Chris Costello.
