Originally introduced in 1997, the Platinum version of the American Eagle has gained the high popularity on the marketplace. The Platinum Eagle is struck from 1 full troy ounce of .9995 fine Platinum, has a face value of $100 and diameter of 32.7, allowing for every coin detail to look impeccable.

His artwork is focused on the head of the Statue of Liberty, the word “LIBERTY” is also stretched along the top of the coin and accompanied with the year of mintage and the phrase “IN GOD WE TRUST.” On the reverse side is the image of a bald eagle soaring over the setting sun. Engravings on this side include “United States of America,” as well as the coin’s weight, metal content, purity, and face value.
