The son of Odin and nine giantesses Heimdall is the guardian of Aesir. As their sentry, he guards the entrance to Asgard atop Bifrost, the rainbow bridge against the invasion of the giants and other adversaries of the divine deities.
As the watchman of Asgard, Heimdall is equipped with the Gjallar horn to warn of foes nearing Aesir. He moves swiftly across the rainbow bridge using his gold stallion tuft, and is situated at the highest point on the Bifrost to ensure visibility over the entire bridge. Heimdall is suited in white armor, as a testament to how he is seen by Aesir, as a symbol of wisdom and elegance.
Upon the arrival of Ragnarok, Heimdall will summon the gods of Aesir to their last crusade with an impactful blow of the Gjaller horn. During the subsequent war, Heimdall and Loki will slay each other as Aesir and its gods are destroyed.
