Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is an annually issued silver bullion coin by the Government of Canada. This is a legal tender that is was introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1988. The face value of these coins are 5 Canadian Dollars. One of the most popular and finest silver bullion coins, these are made from 1 troy ounce of 99.99% pure silver. Though millions of silver Maple Leafs are minted every year, but on special occasions the Mint also produces its official silver Maple Leaf coins in Canadian Maple Leaf Privy editions. These coins have unique privy marks that honor items of Canadian cultural significance, historical events and moments, and nature-related themes. The 2016 1 oz Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Panda Privy Reverse Proof NGC PF 69 Retro Holder coin is released to honor the first ever Panda from 1982. The privy design is inspired from the 1982 Gold Chinese Panda. The brilliant reverse proof finish adds to its collectible value.

Each individual coin comes in an NGC retro holder. To mark their 25th anniversary NGC released a limited-edition retro holder. These holders are similar to the ones that were used in 1987 by NGC. The beautiful black core of the retro holder offers a stunning background to display the elegant silver and gold coins. The holder for the Canadian Maple Leaf Panda Privy coin has a red and white label with a picture of panda, year of mintage, grade, and a unique serial number on the front side. On the back are the name NGC and its signature logo on a background of attractive blue and silver color label.

  • Individual coins are packaged in protective plastic coin flip. Multiples of 10 come in sealed mint sheets. Multiples of 200 come in mint-issued sealed monster boxes.
  • Obverse: Right-facing profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, a design by Susanna Blunt. Inscriptions – “Elizabeth II,” “5 Dollars,” and mintage year “2016.”
  • Reverse: Depicts an intricately detailed image of single maple leaf. The privy mark of a Panda Bear lies to the left of the maple leaf's stem. Inscriptions – “Canada,” “Argent Pur,” “Fine Silver,” and fineness “9999” on either side of the Maple Leaf.
  • Limited mintage of only 50,000 coins.
