The Mexican Silver Libertad is well-known for its exceptional quality and design. It is minted at an almost 500-year-old Casa de Moneda de México or the National Mint of Mexico which is an IRA approved facility (ISO9001). This mint is the first mint in North America and it is still active today. The mint was established by the Spanish Viceroy, Antonio de Mendoza in 1535 by a decree from the Spanish crown to set up the first mint in America. At that time, the mint’s duty was to process the Inca gold and Mexican silver and ship it back to Spain.

Silver Libertad is a beautiful coin which has an elaborate design on the obverse as well as the reverse.

This is a coin with deep historical significance and its design is highly recognizable.
