This beautiful Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is one of the most popular and respected bullion investments in the world. It has been the stalwart coin of the Royal Canadian Mint since 1988 being one of the purest silver coins on the market with a fineness of .9999.
Uniquely, the coin features a built-in anti-counterfeit technology: a miniature maple leaf is laser-engraved on the back of every coin with a microscopic number "15" (corresponding to the year) in the middle of it.
On the obverse of the coin is a stately portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susanna Blunt, along with the face value and date of the coin. On the back is an elegant Maple Leaf, an iconic symbol of Canada, encircled by the inscriptions "FINE SILVER," "1 OZ ARGENT PUR," and "CANADA," with the coin's 9999 fineness flanking each side. The Silver Maple Leaf is backed by the Canadian government and is considered legal tender in Canada.
