This extremely rare and beautiful gold World Cup coin contains 6.75 grams of .999 gold, and has a mintage of just 500! This coin comes in a box and with a certificate of authenticity.

This Gold Coin was produced to commemorate the 2014 World Cup international soccer championship, which was held in Brazil. This Proof coin features on its reverse the official logo of the World Cup 2014: three hands triumphantly holding the World Cup trophy. On the obverse the inscriptions “REPUBLICA DEL ECUADOR" and  "UN SUCRE ORO” are present, with the shield of Ecuador in the middle of the coin. The shield is composed of Mount Chimborazo and the Guayas river which symbolize the beauty and wealth of the country. Above the land is the sun surrounded by the astrological signs for Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer. These represent the months of March through July, and symbolizes the duration of the March Revolution of 1845.The bird atop the shield is the Andean Condor, and his outstretched wings symbolize the power, greatness and strength of Ecuador. The shield is flanked by the four flags of Ecuador. The laurel on the left represents the victories of the republic, while the palm leaf on the right side is a symbol of the martyrs of the fight for independence and liberty. The Fasces below the shield represents the republican dignity.

The Ecuadorian Football Federation (Spanish: Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol or FEF) is the governing body of football in Ecuador.
