This 2014 China Gold Medal is the product of a cooperative effort between China and the Smithsonian Institution. This amazing medal was struck in 2014 to honor the presence of giant pandas in the National Zoo, in Washington D.C. The Panda design is one of the most demanded designs among collectors around the globe. The medal comes in a proof finish along with the Mei Xiang and Tian Tian artwork: two giant pandas living in the National Zoo. Additionally, mintage of these 1 oz gold medals tends to be very low, which makes them extremely collectible. 

The medal reverse features Mei Xiang and Tian Tian eating their bamboo. The panda medal design is very detailed. The weight and purity can be found on the reverse as well. This gold medal was also verified by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as a Proof 70 and packaged in an NGC holder with a Panda label.
