2013 $10 John F. Kennedy British Virgin Islands Silver Proof Coin (w/Box and COA)

John F. Kennedy better known by his initials JFK, was the 35th President of the United States and the youngest man, at the age of 43, to be elected into office. During his presidency, many historical events took place such as the Cuba Missle Crisis known as the closest conflict of the Cold War that could escalate into a full-scale nuclear war. JFK's presidency lasted from January, 1961 until his assassination in November 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald.

This 2013 $10 John F. Kennedy British Virgin Islands Silver Proof Coin beautifully honors the 50th year anniversary of the President's passing in November of 1963. 

This silver coin is composed of 0.9092 troy oz of .925 fine Silver with a mintage of only 10,000! This item comes in a proof finish with a capsule and gift box as well as a certificate of authenticity.

 

The obverse of the coin carries an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS as well as the inscriptions "BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS". The reverse side of the coin features the effigy of John F. Kennedy and has marked the 50 years of his death with the inscription "1963/2013" as well as "JOHN F. KENNEDY" and the denomination.
