This splendid 2011 1 oz $50 Gold American Eagle NGC MS 69 honors the 25th anniversary of the gold eagles that began in 1986. 

The obverse features Lady Liberty, a design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, with the Capitol building in the left background.

The reverse displays a male eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings. This is meant to symbolize family and unity as a nation. Inscribed is the denomination and weight along with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
