This 2005 1 oz $100 Platinum American Eagle Coin PCGS MS 69 First Strike comes graded by the renown PCGS as Mint State 69, a near perfect grade. This coin also holds a First Strike Label, which means PCGS received this coin within the first month of its release.
The obverse features a portrait of the Statue of Liberty gazing confidently forward, wearing a seven point crown with her right arm rising above her. "LIBERTY" is inscribed across the top of the bullion coin, and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is located in the lower left of the coin. The year of mintage and "IN GOD WE TRUST" are engraved to the side.
The reverse was designed by U.S. Mint sculptor Thomas D. Rogers and features a soaring American eagle with outstretched wings above a newly rising sun, with "United States of America" above. The purity, metal, weight, and denomination are inscribed on this side as well.
