This $50 American Eagle gold bullion was issued in 2005 and is graded by NGC as Mint State 70. Beloved by gold collectors, the gold eagle contains 1 troy oz of .9167 fine gold.

Gracing the obverse is Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ Lady Liberty design, which first appeared on American coins in the 1907 Double Eagle. In it, she is holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, with the Capitol building in the left background. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY" and the year of mintage.

The reverse shows a family of eagles by their nest, designed by sculptor Miley Busiek. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," along with the weight and denomination.
