This 1999 1/10 oz Gold Australian Kangaroo coin is minted and inspected by the Perth Mint and comes in a beautiful assay plastic card. The front of the card has a beautiful waterfall, and the back has information about the coin. This coin is an unparalleled example of the art of engraving and a long line of artistic and numismatic treasures struck at Australia's Perth Mint. With a history that dates back more than 100 years, the Perth Mint is heralded globally for its quality and craftsmanship. The obverse depicts the Ralph Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. The reverse, which changes every year, features a Grey Kangaroo standing on two legs, designed by Miranda Cornell, as well as the Perth Mint "P" mintmark and the inscriptions, "THE AUSTRALIAN NUGGET', "1/10 OZ", ".9999 GOLD" and "1999".
