This 1997 1 oz $100 Platinum American Eagle Coin PCGS MS 67 comes graded by the renown PCGS as Mint State 67. Containing 1 troy ounce of .9995 fine platinum and protected in a beautiful PCGS Coin Holder, this is a must have piece for investors and collectors alike.
The obverse features John Mercanti‘s design exhibiting a portrait of the Statue of Liberty gazing confidently forward, a symbol of freedom and opportunity, wearing a seven point crown with her right arm rising above her. "LIBERTY" is inscribed across the top of the bullion coin, and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is located in the lower left of the coin. The year of mintage and "IN GOD WE TRUST" are engraved to the side.
The reverse was designed by U.S. Mint sculptor Thomas D. Rogers and features a soaring American eagle with outstretched wings above a newly rising sun, with "United States of America" above. The purity, metal, weight, and denomination are inscribed on this side as well.
