This beautiful 1996 Gold 100 Yuan Panda is graded by NGC as MS 62. This gold panda is composed of 1 oz. of .999 pure gold. The highly collectible Gold Panda series of coins began in 1982.
On the obverse is the Temple of Heaven, an ancient temple where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties came to pray for good harvests. Encircling the rim is the phrase "People's Republic of China" in Chinese along with the year of mintage.
The reverse features an adorable panda hanging onto a tree with the denomination to the left along with the weight and purity to the right.
