This $50 American Eagle gold bullion was issued in 1990 and is graded by NGC as Mint State 69 - Coin has a sharp strike with full original luster, with no more than two small non-detracting contact marks or flaws. No hairlines or scuff marks are visible. Eye appeal is exceptional.
The obverse features a modified rendition of the Augustus Saint-Gaudens design used on U.S. twenty-dollar gold pieces from 1907 until 1933 of a full length figure of Lady Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, with the Capitol building in the left background.
The reverse displays a male eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings. Inscribed is the denomination and weight along with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
