1987 P 1/2 oz China Gold Panda 50 Yuan NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo
This beautifully designed proof 1987 gold 10 Yuan Panda is composed of 1/2 oz. of .999 pure gold, graded by NGC as Proof 69 Ultra Cameo: a sharp, attractive, nearly perfect strike and with few to no blemishes. This is a great piece for coin or bullion collectors. The highly collectible Gold Panda series of coins began in 1982. Each size in the Gold Panda collection is .999 pure Gold.
The 1987 Panda coins keep the traditional reverse design that has been the hallmark of this great series, featuring the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, the title of the People's Republic of China, and the year of issuance (1987) below. The obverse design, which changes every year, features a panda drinking water from a pond with bamboo trees in the background, with the denomination (50 Yuan), purity (.999), gold content (1/2 oz Au), and mint mark (P) also prominently displayed. The 1987 Chinese Panda gold coin is considered to be one of the most unique Panda coins ever issued because it is the only year in which this gold panda design was minted in two separate locations. Coins made at the Shanghai Mint in China have a "S" mintmark, while coins with a "Y" mintmark were made at the Shenyang Mint. The "P" mark on this coin represents that it's a proof gold coin.
As popularity has grown, the Panda gold series has become loved by the world over for its adorable panda illustration. The Chinese Gold Panda is also a big hit among investors and collectors because of its annual changing designs and continues to be a sought after coin.
Like all of our other gold coins, this one is guaranteed to be 100% authentic. Item will be wrapped and packaged safe for delivery.
