This beautifully designed 1987-S China 1/2 oz Gold Panda 50 Yuan NGC MS 69 is composed of 1/2 oz. of .999 pure gold. The highly collectible Gold Panda series of coins began in 1982 and features a rare annually change design.

The obverse shows a Panda sipping water with a bamboo background, as well as the denomination, purity, and gold weight. The traditional reverse design depicts the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing and the year of mintage.
