This excellent 1986 1 oz Gold American Eagle $50 NGC MS 69 is graded a near-perfect Mint State 69 by the renowned NGC. The Gold Eagle Series began in 1986, making this coin part of the first year of issue, a must-have piece.

The obverse features Lady Liberty marching confidently towards a new day holding a flaming torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. In the background, we can see the sun rising and the Capitol building to the side. Inscriptions include the word "LIBERTY" and the year of mintage.

The reverse depicts a male American Eagle in flight carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and their hatchlings. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" along with the face value and weight.
