On the obverse of each coin is a portrait of the lovely Queen Elizabeth II along with the inscriptions - "D.G. REGINA ELIZABETHH II" which translates to "BY THE GRACE OF GOD, QUEEN ELIZABETH II." On the back is the design of the Canadian Coat of Arms along with the word "CANADA" as well as the Year of Mintage and denomination inscribed.
