1934 A $1000 Federal Reserve Currency Note Philadelphia PMG VF 30 (Stained)

This 1934 A $1000 Federal Reserve Currency Note from Philadelphia makes a wonderful addition to any collection. The currency note is graded by PMG as VF 30 (Stained) certifying its condition and value. The "stained" designation on the label refers to the slight discoloration on the left side of the obverse. These $1000 bills are desirable among collectors, as only three series of $1000 Currency Notes were produced: 1928, 1934, and 1934 A. This note is part of the 1934 A series. This Federal Reserve $1000 Currency Note's value as a collector item greatly surpasses its value as currency, so be sure to add this 1934 A $1000 Federal Reserve Currency Note to your collection today!

Federal Currency Notes were printed by the nation's central bank, comprised of twelve regional Reserve Banks and the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, established in 1914, was among those 12 banks and produced a large quantity of the $1000 Currency Notes. Although these Currency Notes are still considered legal tender, once they are deposited into the bank they would be returned to the Federal Reserve. Because of this, collectors may want to hold onto these bills for years to come in order to keep them in private hands.

The obverse displays a portrait of the 22nd and 24th US President Grover Cleveland, along with the denomination and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".

The reverse features the denomination and the phrase "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".
