This 1934 A $1000 Federal Reserve Currency Note from Philadelphia makes a wonderful addition to any collection. The currency note is graded by PMG as VF 30 (Stained) certifying its condition and value. The "stained" designation on the label refers to the slight discoloration on the left side of the obverse. Federal Currency Notes were printed by the nation's central bank, comprised of twelve regional Reserve Banks and the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. Although these Currency Notes are still considered legal tender, once they are deposited into the bank they would be returned to the Federal Reserve. The obverse displays a portrait of the 22nd and 24th US President Grover Cleveland, along with the denomination and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".
