1929 $10 National Currency Note New York Cull

Bullion Exchanges is proud to offer the 1929 $10 National Currency Note New York (Cull), a historic piece of U.S. paper money issued during a transformative period in American banking. These notes were part of the National Bank Note series and were authorized under the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, allowing individual national banks to issue currency backed by U.S. government bonds deposited with the Treasury. Each note carries the name and charter number of the issuing bank, in this case from New York, adding regional and historical significance to the piece.

The 1929 series marked the transition from large-size to small-size currency and was the last generation of notes issued by national banks before the practice was discontinued. Featuring the portrait of Alexander Hamilton on the obverse and the U.S. Treasury Building on the reverse, these notes also include unique brown seals and serial numbers that distinguish them from other notes of the era.

Product Features:

  • National Currency Note
  • Cull Condition
  • Face value of $10 US silver dollar, formerly backed by the US Government
  • Obverse: Features a portrait of Alexander Hamilton
  • Reverse: Displays the image of the U.S. Treasury building with a vintage car
