1910 S $10 Indian Head Gold Eagle NGC XF Details

This beautiful 1910 Indian Head Gold Eagle coin is certified by NGC as Extremely Fine Details - Design features are well defined, although light wear is evident throughout. It is also labeled as improperly cleaned.

Minted between 1907 to 1933, the $10 Indian Gold Eagle coin is a symbol of the greatness and importance of America in the world. Theodore Roosevelt commissioned Augustus Saint-Gaudens to design the coin. Saint-Gaudens, embodying the American Renaissance, was one of the most important American artists of all time and is considered by many as the greatest of modern sculptors. Upon hearing of Roosevelt's desire to rework the nation's coinage, he immediately set out to design the coin.

The obverse side depicts Lady Liberty facing left and wearing a Native American feathered war bonnet with the word "LIBERTY" inscribed on it. 13 stars are situated in the upper edge of the coin, with the date of issue (1910) below Liberty's image.

The reverse features a majestic bald eagle perched on a bundle of arrows and carrying an olive branch in one of its talons. The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "E PLURIBUS UNUM,","TEN DOLLARS" and the Mint Mark S (San Francisco-located right below the olive branch in the left corner) are also inscribed on the reverse.

Like all of our other gold coins, this one is guaranteed to be 100% authentic. Item will be wrapped and packaged safely for delivery.
