1907 $10 Indian Head Gold Eagle NGC AU Details No Motto

This beautiful 1907 Indian Head Gold Eagle coin is certified by NGC as About Uncirculated Details- Traces of light wear are evident on the high points of the coin's design. It has also been removed from jewelry, and is missing the motto "In God We Trust", which is only missing on 1907 and some 1908 versions of the coin.

Minted between 1907 to 1933, the $10 Indian Gold Eagle coin is symbol of the greatness and importance of America in the world. Theodore Roosevelt commissioned Augustus Saint-Gaudens to design the coin. Saint-Gaudens, embodying the American Renaissance, was one of the most important American artists of all time and is considered by many as the greatest of modern sculptors. Upon hearing of Roosevelt's desire to rework the nation's coinage, he immediately set out to design the coin.

The obverse side depicts Lady Liberty facing left and wearing a Native American feathered war bonnet with the word "LIBERTY" inscribed on it. 13 stars are situated in the upper edge of the coin, with the date of issue (1907) below Liberty's image.

The reverse features a majestic bald eagle perched on a bundle of arrows and carrying an olive branch in one of its talons. The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,"  "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "TEN DOLLARS" are also inscribed on the reverse.

Like all of our other gold coins, this one is guaranteed to be 100% authentic. Item will be wrapped and packaged safe for delivery.
