1890-CC Silver Morgan Dollar NGC XF 40
Please note, cert number may vary.
1890-CC Silver Morgan Dollar had the highest mintage in the Carson City Mint series, with over 2.3 million coins issued. However, the coins of this date grades are not that common, due to the large quantity that has been melted or released into circulation. This 1890-CC Silver Morgan Dollar graded by NGC as XF 40 is a real treat for any coin collector.
The Obverse features Left facing portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a Liberty Cap with the word “LIBERTY” inscribed on the ribbon. The cap is decorated with two heads of wheat and two cotton blossoms. 13 Stars representing the 13 original colonies, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and Year of Mintage encircle the main device.
The Reverse depicts Eagle with wings spread holding a branch and three arrows. IN GOD WE TRUST appears in Old English letters above. Surrounding is the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR.
