This beautiful 1887 Morgan Dollar comes graded by NGc as Mint State 66 - Coin has above average quality of strike and full original mint luster, with no more than two or three minor, but noticeable, contact marks. A few very light hairlines may show under (6x+) magnification, or there may be one or two light, scuff marks showing on frosted surfaces or in the field.
Morgan Dollars were primarily minted from 1878 through 1904, due to their popularity they were minted again in 1921. Each Morgan Silver Dollar contains .7734 troy ounces per coin. The coins were designed by British engraver George T. Morgan and were named after him. The obverse of the coin depicts a school teacher named Anna Willess Williams, as she poses as Lady Liberty for the new design of the coins. The reverse depicts a heraldic eagle. It has a face value of $1.
