This 1847 D $5 Liberty Head Half Eagle Gold Coin NGC AU Details will make an excellent addition to any collection. The coin is made from the Dahlonega Mint, making it a very rare piece.

The obverse features a left-sided bust of Lady Liberty encircled by 13 stars. Inscriptions include the phrase "LIBERTY" on her hairband and the year of mintage.

The reverse side shows a bald eagle with a patriotic shield on its chest and its wings spread open. In its talons are a bundle of arrows and an olive branch. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination.
