This 1836 $5 Classic Head Half Eagle Gold Coin NGC AU 53 will make a superb addition to your collection. After the 1834 version, this coin is marked as the second most difficult to find, making this item a must have!

The obverse features a bust of Lady Liberty on her left side encircled by 13 stars, symbolizing the original colonies of the New World. The phrase "LIBERTY" can be seen on her hairband and the year of mintage is below.

The reverse side shows a bald eagle baring a patriotic shield on its chest and its wings spread open, with a bundle of arrows and an olive branch clutched in its talons. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the denomination.
