The obverse side of the bar features a lively, prancing horse, with a tree behind its back where a Chinese character for "horse" is inscribed.

The reverse side depicts the opposite view of the same image in which the tree is in the foreground, with the horse behind it as the animal's tail waves forward, along with the bar's weight and purity. Comes in an assay card indicating its unique certificate number, the bar's weight and fineness.
