1/2 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin (Random Year)
These 1/2 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leafs are issued within the most popular coin series of the Royal Canadian Mint. Each coin is produced of 1/2 troy ounces of 99.99% fine gold and displays a simple but incredibly artistic design depicting the iconic maple leaf. The Gold Maple Leafs are highly appreciated collectibles for their simple design and high gold purity.
The first Gold Maple Leaf was released by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1979 and was manufactured of .999 fine gold, which is obtained only from Canadian sources. Beginning with 1982, these outstanding coins are produced of .9999 pure gold. The 1/2 oz. size was minted for the first time later, in 1986 and became a huge success. Before the introduction of Gold Maple Leafs, the single purest gold coins available on the bullion market were the South African Kruggerands. However, these coins were difficult to own because of the political conflicts in South Africa. Hence, the Gold Maple Leaf gained tremendous popularity very quickly, mostly thanks to their minimalist representation of the iconic Canadian symbol – the maple leaf, which is showcased with extraordinary details and a raised finish to attribute an incredible feeling and texture. The 1/2 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf is offered with reeded edges, in brilliant uncirculated condition, encased in a special plastic flip to protect the fineness of the coin. This coin is worldwide renowned as the most beautiful gold bullion coin, and its fractional size makes it an excellent collectible for any investor or collector.

Her Majesty’s portrait also incorporates the designer’s initials at the bottom and is surrounded by the inscriptions “10 Dollars”, “Elizabeth II” and the year of issue.
Reverse: Displays a large, extraordinary detailed maple leaf. Its depiction is encircled by the engravings “Canada”, weight and purity marks. The coin issues from 2014 also showcase the micro-engraved maple leaf laser mark, the latest bullion security feature from the Royal Canadian Mint, which displays the last two digits of the year. Coins released starting from 2015 also depict the background with radial lines.
