These 1/2 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leafs are issued within the most popular coin series of the Royal Canadian Mint. Each coin is produced of 1/2 troy ounces of 99.99% fine gold and displays a simple but incredibly artistic design depicting the iconic maple leaf. The Gold Maple Leafs are highly appreciated collectibles for their simple design and high gold purity.
The first Gold Maple Leaf was released by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1979 and was manufactured of .999 fine gold, which is obtained only from Canadian sources. Beginning in 1982, these outstanding coins were produced of .9999 pure gold. The 1/2 oz size was minted for the first time later, in 1986, and became a huge success.
When acquiring the 1/2 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf $20 Coin (Random Year), it's important to note that minor imperfections may be present due to handling and storage. These flaws often result from light rubbing or scuffing, typically caused by friction when coins come into contact with one another or other objects. These imperfections are most commonly found on the high points of the coin and within the open fields of the background, affecting its aesthetic but not its intrinsic value.
