Silver American Eagle

The .999 silver eagle is one of the most popular bullion coins in the world. The U.S. Government decided in 1986 to part with some silver in their national treasury. Hence, the silver American Eagle coin was born. Its gorgeous and rugged patriotic design and 1 oz metal content make it an excellent collector and investment piece. The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s original “Walking Liberty” design. The Walking Liberty Half Dollar from 1916-1947 was the first to show "Walking Liberty." It portrays Lady Liberty walking amongst the rising sun, with the American flag draped over her shoulders. In addition, her hand is outstretched. The side reads “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “2019”. The reverse features the mighty and heraldic American eagle. The eagle is flying with an olive branch in one talon and arrows in the other. Also seen is a shield on its chest. Additionally, his beak carries a banner reading “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” The coin also reads “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR.” The eagle is below 13 stars representing the original 13 colonies. Therefore, the design is rich in American history and tradition.
