First Ever 1 oz Platinum Perth Mint Lunar Series Coin
The Australian Lunar Series program has established itself as one of the most demanded bullion investment products worldwide. Likewise, the offering of the annual Australian Perth Mint interpretations of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac has premium quality, purity, and value. The release of the Australian Lunar Series III holds gold, silver, and new platinum coins to honor the culture and history of the Chinese community around the world.
The Gold and Platinum Australian Lunar Design
The reverse side of each gold and platinum coin depicts a mouse among stalks of wheat. The design includes the Chinese character for ‘mouse,’ the inscription ‘MOUSE 2020’, in addition to the traditional Perth Mint’s “P” mint mark. The security feature appears in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter in the reverse of the design. The 1 oz platinum and 1 oz, 2 oz and 10 oz Australian Lunar gold coins carry the security feature. On the obverse of each coin features the classic Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II along with the weight and fineness. Also, the monetary denomination is on the obverse of each coin.
The Silver Australian Lunar Series Design
The reverse of each silver coin depicts two mice scavenging on husks of corn. The design is very similar to the gold and platinum bullion coins but yet unique. Similarly, the Chinese character for ‘mouse,’ the inscription ‘MOUSE 2020’ and the Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mint-mark are included. The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the weight and fineness, and the monetary denomination are displayed on the obverse of each coin.
The security feature is on the reverse side of all the coins except for the 10 kilos. The 10 kilo carries a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design.
