You are buying FIVE 2014 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf Coins.
Coins aren't always known for their innovation, but the Royal Canadian Mint is one of the finest in the world, so it's no surprise it leads the way in coin security features with the 2014 Silver Maple Leaf.
The new design replaces the traditional bullion finish with complex radial lines and a micro-engraved laser mark, precisely machined within a micron to ensure consistent production and strikes. These new radial lines will create a "light-diffracting pattern" that will shine like no other coin on earth.
The small privy maple leaf is also a security feature, including the number 14 to signify the year of issue, micro-engraved into the surface. This security feature will only be visible under magnification.
The radial design on the reverse of each coin gives the impression that the leaf is slightly glowing. The reverse reads CANADA, FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR, with 9999 on either side. A small maple leaf privy mark is near the bottom right of the leaf.
The sharp radial lines continue on the obverse, with the queen's portrait particularly smooth and shining in contrast with the background. The rim reads ELIZABETH II, 5 DOLLARS, 2014
The 2014 Silver Maple Leaf is comprised of one ounce of extremely pure .9999 silver.
